I’m Joshua Bowe, and I established JANISTAR in March of 1998 with a commitment to providing customers with a reliable cleaning service. Today JANISTAR remains a family owned business.
Our Cleaners Our professional cleaners are by far our greatest asset. The biggest challenge to building any successful cleaning business is finding reliable cleaners in an industry where turnover is typically high. It hasn't always been easy, but I've become an expert on how to find great cleaners who will stay with us and our customers. So what’s our secret? Actually, it’s not a secret at all. I simply offer better pay than our competition, but I will only pay for excellence.
Some of our best cleaners are husbands and wives who work as a team. I look for mature, hard workers who genuinely like cleaning. By hiring and rewarding reliable, quality cleaners, we can offer our customers reliable, quality service… it’s that simple.
Quality There are 4 basic tools I use to ensure that quality service is maintained for each customer. The first is our 30-Point Inspection form, which is completed on a regularly scheduled basis. The second is our Quarterly Customer Satisfaction Survey. The third is our Pay For Performance plan that rewards our cleaners for excellent service. Last of all, we use a Communication Log Book at each account, to ensure that our cleaners and customers can communicate any special requests or concerns from day to day.
My wife, Misty and I live in Coon Rapids with our 4 children, ages 10-19.
While Misty was a Girl Scout leader for several years, I've been involved in scouts, coaching football, Knights of Columbus, and Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR).
